Hello chaps.

new to the scene. hope there will be plenty support from the forum. I have just purchased phantom 3 pro and lookin fwd to the adventure. I live on the chobe river botswana/Namibia and hope to get plenty great aerial shots within the laws, as I believe drones are banned from the national parks in Botswana, but I will be operating on the Namibian side of the river.

Cheers

Hi, im coming to SA next sunday and i bringing my 3DR Solo with me. Im shooting video just for fun, no commercial otcome etc.. do i need any registration? Im going to Lesotho for 3 days, then area around St.Lucia (im aware of ban on drones in SA national parks, buzlt how about st. Luciawhich is 'wetland protected area', not NP?
Then we go to Swaziland fot 4 days.

I cannot find any reliable info about bringing the drone to SA and the other 2 countries - can I expect any problems going trough border etc?

Thank you guys for any info,

Cheers from the Czech Republic! :)

Greetings all

I am electrical engineer with research background, an amateur machinist and somewhat of a technoholic.
Have been flying Quads since July 2014, and have built and flown a few (2*250's, a 360, a 450, a 650).
I have been through KK2, Naze pro, CC3d, Naza lite, Naza V2 and PIxhawk F/C and only killed two GoPro's (they died hero's).
I love FPV flying in exposed scenery and find the aerial video/photography very compelling.

Short-term dreams:
 get a fixed wing FPV flying and
:baby: survive FPV cliff-diving with my 250 mini-quad

Peter, Cape Town. Newby on the scene. My Chinese phantom copy is on its way, then the fun starts. My eyes hurt already from all the YouTube I have been watching on the subject.:)
