Drone Tracker Mobile Phone solution

Drone Tracker Mobile Phone solution

The Online Drone Tracker is taking off like a rocket! (excuse the bad pun  )

Find it here:
http://dronetrack.org/

Using an old cellphone as a tracker, you can track a drone online in real time.
Also play sounds, flash the screen for maximum visibility, and trigger an alarm on the drone from the website.
I've tested this on a prepaid account (R100 total cost, the phone was an old one on my contract, so technically a free phone)

This has already helped me find a stray drone (still noob at FPV) and seems to be helping others too.

I put the mobile in a little box and attach it to the drone. Peace of mind!
The advantage is the tracker is completely independent device, so even if your LIPO burns out it will still work.

Let me know of features you'd like to see!

Just added most SA airports to the map, who knew there were so many!
So if your craft wanders through civil airspace DroneTrack will alert you.
Added an Android lite app, beefed up the features.
Getting lots of use from US, China, South Korea, Italy, France, even Kazakhstan!
My friend lost his quadcopter on the weekend, and he was 'why didn't I use this!'

Here's what you see on the tracker when flying in Cape Town

The airports are clearly marked, you can see your flightpath, and you get alerted if others have been flying nearby or you're flying too close to busy airspace.

I don't do much high-altitude flying, but if anyone is willing to take an old cellphone up to test GSM range it would be awesome
