It's the obvious solution for these drones, admit it....we've all wanted that kind of safety net. :yes: It's like airbags in a car...once we've all adopted them as standard kit one day we'll wonder how we ever dared fly without them. 8-) Would be great if it was linked to a GPS beacon (like an avalanche beacon in ski suits) so the drone can be located if carried out of site by wind, trees or structures. :hmmm:

Now....as I click thru to Stuffinc, I wonder: "What would a gadget like that cost?" :woot:

Well KevPerkins

There is a company in Pretoria South Africa that do manufacture similar Recovery Parachutes for MultiRotors. As far As I Know they do 3 different models and prices range from R1700 for a small chute that can carry 2KG to a Large chute that can carry 10KG for +- R9200

definitely worth a look. I guess it'll depend on how much weight it adds to the multirotor. Would be useful if they could quote approximate reduction in flight time for specific multirotors and battery setups.
