Looks like they're aiming high:

DRONE USES
Prospects/Armored

Department of Defense
Department of Homeland Security (Border Patrol)
Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement

Prospects/Non Weaponized

Search and Rescue agencies / Emergency Operating Centers
Department of Agriculture / State and Federal Parks
Department of Wildlife Conservation
Private entities

I like how they don't list a price on their site. The number is probably so big it will crash their server.

Please tell me this will trickle down to the recreational market soon!!!! :woot:

As a matter for discussion and as I'm still pumped from a gig and will probably be awake until 3am  ...what are the longest flight times for "over-the-counter" (for want of a better turn of phrase) or "recreational" level drones? Obviously something with wings is going to stay aloft for a LOT longer than a normal multi-rotor. But I'd be curious to know specifically about multirotors. Obviously the multi-rotor's power system would need to "slow" the depletion of batteries by using solar panels.

I believe there are some high output, small-ish solar panels available now that could fit on a hexa...or maybe a quad I suppose :hmmm:

In a VTOL aircraft you have no assistance from wings so the problems to address would be Power vs Weight plus "cell life"...a multi-rotor supplementing the normal discharge during flight by way of a trickle charge from a few small solar (photo-voltaic) panels MIGHT extend flight times. I guess it depends on how much each little panel would weigh vs how much charge it could supply and at what rate. :geek:
