Re: Y6 Multirotor

I don't have any first hand experience with which is more redundant. However your assumption of how the controller would react if you were to loose a motor or prop on a hex is correct (well at least for my OP FC it is). It would shut down the opposite motor so as to balance the yaw and keep it stabl...

Re: Tracking lost aircraft

Hey Guys I saw this posted today and I thought I would share. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290781287178?clk_rvr_id=404601474958 Only $18 and weighs 25g in the case! Only draw back is that it only works off of cellphone tower triangulation, so only good if you fly in cellphone coverage. https://dl.dropb...

Re: DanZ F450 Clone Quad

Ok guys... This frame was crap... Poor build quality, holes not lining up, arms a little twisted etc. But the biggest problem is vibration, this thing transfers vibrations like mad. I got it down to a reasonable level by putting better quality props on and then still spending some time balancing the...

Re: CONTROLLERS....Just how many are out there?

I have tried the following controllers, DIYdrones APM1 (Arducopter Firmware), OpenPilot CC, Naze32 (Multiwii Firmware), KK2 from Hobbyking and the OpenPilot CC3D. So far my favourite FC"s have been the Openpilot and the Naze 32. The KK2 is a winner for it's price, really is, but only for gyro/a...

Re: Alternative TX control technology

I haven't used a joy stick in a while, but don't they have a twist in them? That could control yaw/rudder?

Re: Alternative TX control technology

Wow, also came across this video:

YouTube

Looks like he still uses both sticks but with just one hand. One with his index finger and one with his pinky

Re: Alternative TX control technology

Hi Kevin What about a typical Joy stick for flying? Pitch roll and yaw would be fairly easy to contol, throttle I am assuming you should be able to control with some sort of slider on the joystick. I did a search on HK and came across this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__17165__BT_1_8_Ch...
