Re: Assitance on new Quadcopter

That quad you are still going to have to assemble yourself along with some simple soldering. A complete RTF (ready to fly), as in no assembly and pretested, is going to cost much more. I can recommend the following for complete RTF packages: http://www.uavproducts.com/product.php?id_product=118 $675...

Re: Assitance on new Quadcopter

I have a friend who bought that exact quadcopter. It got lost in the post and after two months the seller refunded him his money and then two weeks later it eventually arrived lol. The price is very good and no doubt suits someone getting into flying multirotors. But one thing to point out is that t...

Another benefit is that they are easy to scratch build as well as having the benefit of placing the camera far enough forward ...

Re: Bent motor shafts

Hi Gamma I too have bent many motor shafts, there is no real way to "fix" them as they would never be perfect (like crumpled paper you can never straighten it again). Simplest thing to do is replace them, which motors do you use? Find out if the manufacturer sells spares. The cheaper motor...

Re: Multirotor Racing

A really awesome venue for this in KZN would be Summerveld. It's a race horse training track, many different size circuits and tracks. Of course it would have to be a time when no horses are training as the people there are very, very fussy... I heard through my mate GravityThief that when he flew F...

Re: SA Beer Lift Competition 2012 VIDEOS!!!

I have put my contact details on my quad as well as my plane. I weighed the pro's against the cons and decided that If I am careful and responsible then there shouldn't be a reason no to have to run and hide after a crash other than for embarrassment lol. I have already seen contact details save a f...

Re: Introduce yourself!

DanZ here from Durbz I am draughtsman by trade and work for a Lasercutting company in Westmead. I have never really been involved with RC flying prior to multirotors, but when I saw my first quadcopter I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I knew I had to give it a go. Now I am an FPV addict. ...
